Local Body Elections Over

You know it was very interesting to read that local Hamilton Mayrol candidate Dr Suresh Vatsyayann made a comment on my blog "I'm all for the little guy".

I had a mile long list of comments I wanted to make in rebuttal to the good Dr but I'm not going to bother.

On the surface, Dr Suresh if you read this blog, I understood you to be a good man. If the reports I have seen over the last 48 hours or so are indeed true, then one as educated as you are should have known better.

In any case, be proud that you stood. Be proud of what you are doing with your practices.

My last statement will be, I may be ignorant, but you know what...I am happy.

Sorry to say - I called it

So, the 2007 Rugby World Cup is over for the All Blacks. Sorry to say though, I wasn't totally convinced that it was going to be the year for them to bring that cup home.

I do not think that it was anything Graham Henry could have done. I dont think it was the rotation policy. Was it the weekness of the pool they were in? Who knows. Did Graham Henry feild his best squad?

One thing I will say though is that so much expectations placed on one squad. So many weak test matches. So many groups sending second string teams to play us. Did not do us any favours.

Look at England. Absolutely hammered by South Africa. Yet upset Australia. Who is to say that Scotland won't tame the Pumas or that Fiji wont nail the Springboks. Lets face it, stranger things have happened.

Its sad. Next time, its on our turf. Preparation starts now.
