Outrageous Fortune under threat

Why am I not upset at the prospect?

Maybe it is because that it seems to me that in order to compete with overseas programming, that New Zealand has to resort to the same level of lowness in order to be entertaining.

The sex, the smut, the swearing, the drugs and the general criminality, things we are all having problems with in our society are being portrayed in New Zealand's own television creation. Regardless of the reasoning behind the possible cancellation of the show I'm not upset by the potential loss of New Zealand programming.

Why is the new show, "Diplomatic Immunity" which may have its risque moments, at 10pm, behind Dancing with the Stars? Thats a good show, but why couldn't that start at 7:30pm. Oh, thats right, we have to give up time to British programming like Coronation Street. I think we can handle one less night of that show to make way for New Zealand shows. Relatively decent ones.

I enjoy CSI, BONES and other over seas programmes with the best of them, and that New Zealand shows should take priority, but at the same time, when on balance you have Bro Town, more suggestive and more inuendo than most shows gets prime time 7:30pm or 8pm. But Diplomatic Immunity gets 10pm on Tuesday. A good time for kiwis to enjoy a little of their own home grown entertainment.

I see Bro Town is coming back...I bet that its not getting a 10pm slot when it does.
