Parliamentary Limo's
You know, I can't completely complain about this because it is people in jobs and so on, but I have to wonder.
www.stuff.co.nz reported that Labour Leader Phil Goff ran up a Parliamentary VIP limo service bill of over $70,000, mostly in a 3 month period but still...its a truck load of cash to have someone drive you.
Even for most of these, even those who serve as ministers. Don't they have drivers licenses? Wouldn't it be cheaper to have a fleet of cars they drive themselves? Sure, give them travel perks like planes because I know not many if any of them can fly, but heck, I know if I was an MP I'd still want to drive myself around.
Surely MP's driving themselves would save the tax payer some money in these still difficult times.
