Fireworks debate
It kind of dawned on me the other night, Guy Fawkes night that it had been at least three years since I purchased fireworks for myself. And you know what? I did'nt miss the purchasing of it. I thought about it, but it was brief. The faster way than going to The Warehouse, is to take a match to a $50 note in my pocket.
As I've blogged before, why are we celebrating, and that was a word used in TV commercials, "celebrating" Guy Fawkes, a failed terrorist. This dose'nt happen with other things like it, especially 9/11 or the day of the Madrid bombings, or the Bali bombings. Yeah, on those dates we give out replica's of flight 11, or coconuts, or trains with little fuses.
As for the proposed ban? Im neither for or against, but I am for a harsh penalty for those who abuse them. Like those young punks who threw them into a store as they were setting off, and those who tie them to poor animals. Jail time!!!
