Well Done Michael Bay
After a pretty rough day the office my wife insisted we go to a movie and knowing that I was pretty keen on seeing Michael Bay's incarnation of the Transformers movie we went to that. Being an original Transformers kid of the 80's I was pretty keen on ensuring that the original legacy of the Transformers was not lost by moden movie makers over dramatisation or exageration of the story.
I walked out of the cinema pretty satisfied with the outcome. Floored I have to admit. The action was constant but easy to follow. The CGI was amazing and so life like. I was happy to see that while there were some inconsistencies with the original (eg Bumblebee being a Camero rather than a VW Bug, which I think will result in VW maybe losing some money), some of the original voices were brought back, like Optimus Prime.
So... Well done Michael Bay. There is obviously going to be another one. I am looking forward to it.
