Score one for the good guys? Or what...

You know, I don't really care if the former Iraq Al Queda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed by a smart bomb attack or beaten to death afterwards by some over zealous troops. I'm just wondering if its actually going to make anything better than it was before.

Sometimes I think movies ring too much truth and if we are actually listening to the simple little lines written into these apparent works of fiction. The 1998 movie called 'The Seige' staring Denzel Washington and Annette Bening spoke of terrorist cells working once as a single group, cut off the head and its gone, then spoke of them now working as independant groups. One dies, another sub-cell activates.

Heck, Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone spoke of an amendment to the US constitution which allowed naturalised Americans to become president and spoke of 'The Governator' being President in 1993, 10 years before he took California's recall ballot. Hollyweird.

So...again...Was killing Zarquawi actually going to do anything? They have already named a successor. Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Muhajer has taken the lead of the group in Iraq. So where does he sit in the pecking order of the most wanted? When's his smart bomb coming?

Hell, just bomb the rest and start again. Just kidding. I think even Israel has its twitchy fingers on too many buttons and in some respect deserve the loss of the truce with Hamas. Hmmm...what was to be gained by them launching shells at a beach. Opps...we blew up a family making sand castles, we're sorry, we were retaliating for someone firing rockets hundreds of miles away. Yeah, sorry is going to fix that one boys.

But then again the Palistinians aren't all that with it either. Now they have Gaza, two of their own groups are scrapping it out over who controls what part. Gee guys...
